WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Cleaning a Superpulsator©

This project entailed cleaning a Superpulsator© and laterals at the Lake Kilby water treatment plant.  The system was constructed 17 years prior and the distribution chamber had never been cleaned.  When the CCS crew entered the distribution chamber it measured 4' high x 8' wide and 36' long in each direction.

The crew found the sludge was approximately 40" in depth and all the laterals were 90% filled with sludge. The sludge was removed with high-pressure water and an industrial vacuum truck.  Confined Space Entry was required for the entire project.
