PIPE BURSTING
Out with the old pipe, in with the new - without digging a full-length trench.
Pipe Bursting is a method of breaking up and removing existing buried pipelines while pulling in new pipe to fill the annular space that is left behind - all without the need for a traditional construction trench. Open cuts for "launch and pull pits" replace the full-length trench required by conventional pipe replacement operations.
Pipe Bursting is therefore less intrusive and less disruptive than trenching with the added benefit of reduced labor and landscaping costs. Could you

imagine tearing up the brick-inlaid sidewalk and perhaps harming numerous mature trees if we would have had to trench to replace the multiple lengths of pipe throughout the historic location shown below? This job included pipe bursting to replace a 250-foot run of 6" pipe and a 400-foot run of 8" pipe.
This second group of photos are from a much more significant project. In this one, we had to Pipe Burst to remove ~250 feet of 20" pipe that was buried 25 feet deep and replace it with 24" pipe.
