WWTP SPILL CLEAN UP
CCS Cleans Up More Than Just A Spill
Incarcerated individuals often flush more than just bodily waste down the toilet - it is often used as their trash disposal, too. In anticipation of this, prisons are designed & built with systems to filter the trash out before the wastewater leaves the facility to be treated by the local municipality.
However, when that filtration system fails to meet the load, havoc can break loose when the trash clogs the downstream plumbing, causing both the wastewater to overflow and the trash to pile up.
CCS was called in on one such case to contain & remediate the spill, gather the trash, and clear the clog. Our prior experiences yielded the creation of a unique cage system to expedite collecting the abundance of trash.
After a repeat incident at the same site, we were ultimately hired to overhaul the entire filtration system.
